14th March 2004 Windsurfing: Portland Wind Direction: sw Wind Stength: 26-33 Knots Surf / Sea State: Choppy Air Temperature: 12 Sea Temperature: Brrr Weather: raining Max Speed: Distance Covered: the wind was building all morning and when I arrived most were rigging 4.5 and below, so I rigged my rock 4.7 and put on max downhaul. I found the conditions challanging but after about half an hour although the wind had picked up I seemed to have improved my survival skills so managed a few scary reaches, however, every so often a nuclear gust came through and punished me. Came off the water with a big smile so 4 stars |
